A copy set in pink. The preface of 22 pp. to the first part is due to Louis-Isaac Le Maistre de Sacy (1613-1684). 2 books in one volume in-12 (160 x 95mm). Title of the first work printed in red and black. Typographical marks printed on the title pages. Snack: (1) 2-364 pp; (1) 2-280 pp 4f. (Table of Epitres and Gospels), like many copies this one does not include the 4 table ff. of the first part. Binding of the period. Red morocco, gilt decoration, triple fillet binding with rosette in the corners, spine to very ornate and gilt, red morocco lining, framing wheel with large fleur-de-lys in the corners, gilt edges "During the summer of 1655, Louis-Isaac Le Maistre de Sacy is the soul of the team that begins to prepare, with the probable cooperation of Pascal "invited to give his opinion" (J. Mesnard), a translation of the New Testament" (Dictionnaire de Port-Royal, p. 637). It will appear for the first time in 1667 and will be constantly revised until this edition of 1672. It was then integrated into the famous Port-Royal Bible, which was to mark the French language until the 19th century.
