Historical treatise on the monnoyes of France with their figures from the beginning of the Monarchy to the present Paris, Charles Robustel, 1690 Superb copy quoted by Brunet, in large paper, complete with the essay and bound in two volumes of green morocco, probably by Derome. From the old collection of Antoine-Bernard Caillard (sale 1810), the bulletin Morgand and Baron de Beaugrenier [with]: F. A historical dissertation on the history of the Monnoyes of Charlemagne, Louis le Débonnaire, Lothaire, and their successors in Rome. Paris, Jean-Baptiste Coignard, 1689 Original editions 2 works in 2 volumes (296 x 217mm). (1): Console fleuron engraved on the title page, band engraved on copper by Ertinger (repeated), 31 large and small vignettes engraved on copper in the text. (2): Copperplate vignette printed on title page, a few vignettes engraved in the text. Edition: large paper copy according to Brunet. Snack: (1): 10 ff. j-lii 2-420 pp. 8 ff.; (2): 4 ff.n.ch., 2-187 pp. Illustration: title frontispiece drawn by S. Gournay and engraved by F. Ertinger, 58 off-text plates engraved by Ertinger; (2): 1 full-page engraved plate. Bindings circa 1780 attributable to Derome. Green morocco, gilt decoration, several scrolls, one of which is very thin in the frame, spines with gilt and gilt ribs, gilt edges.
