Origine de tous les cultes ou Religion Universelle. Paris, Agasse, An III [1794-1795]. Together 6 volumes in-4, contemporary half-basecloth entirely covered with red felt, the original title-pieces and goblets reassembled on the spine (amateur binding).

Important working copy, that of the author, including numerous handwritten corrections in the margins or on interleaved leaves.
On the title of volume I, this mention in pen indicates that this copy belongs to the author and the marginal notes added to it are written by his hand, Dupuis, member of the Institute and professor at the Collège de France.
A treatise in which Dupuis (1742-1809), a scholar and scientist, proposes to explain the enigmas of the Greek religion and all the other religions of antiquity, and to unveil their mysteries. This work is the most important treatise on comparative mythology in existence, an inexhaustible mine of Masonic science.
The atlas, which includes a frontispiece and 22 plates, is not present.
