First collective edition of the economic and financial texts of John Law (1671-1729), the famous economist.
It was prepared and edited by Gabriel-Étienne de Sénovert (1753-1831) who wrote an important economic and biographical commentary on Law and his work (50 pp.).
Along with his main work Considérations sur le Commerce et l'Argent, the volume contains two memoirs on banking, Observations sur l'établissement de la Banque and a collection of letters to the Duc d'Orléans and the Duc de Bourbon.
Spine spotted. Spotting in the margins of the first and last leaves.
