LULLE (Raymond)
Opusculum Raymundinum de auditu Kabbalistico sive ad omnes scientias introductorium. Paris, Gilles Gourbin, 1578. In-16, calf turned over, spine ribbed, cold-stamped fillets on the boards (Modern binding in the old taste). Apocryphal work "on the cabbalistic teaching", attributed to Raymond Lulle, famous alchemist, philosopher and mystical writer, born around 1233 in Majorca and died as a martyr in 1315-1316, beatified in 1419. Published for the first time in Venice in 1518, it is considered by the editor of the catalogue Stanislas de Guaïta (cat. 1899, n°530) as the rarest and most sought-after of Lulle's works. The edition is decorated with 5 plates, one of which with volvelles (modern thread), and 2 figures in the text. Stamp at the bottom of the title: A.L.L.R. Some damp spotting.
