DUVAL (Henri). Picturesque Museum or Natural History of the People of the World. Paris, Gihaut frères, s.d. [ca. 1835]. In-4, midnight blue half-basin, blue percaline boards, the first one bearing the gilt title on two lines, smooth spine decorated with rocaille irons and small special irons (squirrel, flowers, bird, deer and butterfly) (Period binding). Charming work illustrated with an engraved title and 50 double page plates drawn and lithographed by Houbloup. Each plate contains several subjects of plants, birds, mammals, fishes, etc., the text being arranged in frames. Rubbing to the binding.
