Hetzel, 1845. 2 volumes large in-8, half plum leather with corners, smooth spine decorated with large rocaille irons, gilt edges, first cover (R. Lix bookbinder). A frontispiece and 211 plates out of text engraved after Gavarni (208) and Bertall (4), and numerous woodcut vignettes in the text, of which the number is close to 800. First edition. Some light foxing. Cover edges trimmed, with missing text. Spine faded.
