CHAMBURE (Auguste de). Napoleon and his contemporaries. Suite of engravings representing heroism, clemency, generosity, popularity. Paris, Bossange, 1824. In-4, red half morocco with corners, spine decorated, untrimmed (period binding). First edition, with a portrait of the Emperor and 47 steel-engraved plates after Charlet, Devéria, Eugène Lami, etc., all on chine appliqué. Some foxing, book 45 very spotted. Rubbing to the binding, corners dulled.
