Paris, Perrotin, 1834. 4 volumes in-8, red glazed calf, triple gilt fillet, frame drawn by gilt fillets entwined at the corners, small gilt lyre at the corners, cartouche in the shape of a diamond in the centre, smooth spine decorated, inner scroll, lining and endpapers of ivory moiré paper, gilt edges (Simier R. du Roi). Unique edition revised by the author, decorated with 104 intaglio vignettes drawn by the most famous painters. ELEGANTLY BOUND IN ICE-CREAM CALF BY SIMIER. More or less pronounced foxing. Spine lightened, slight rubbing.
