La Fille du puisatier. Paris, Fasquelle, 1941. In-8, burgundy morocco, boards decorated with a geometrical composition of opposed chevrons drawn with gilt fillets and green and pink oeser, smooth spine bearing the author's name and the title gilt at the head and tail, gilt head on witnesses, untrimmed, with all margins, cover and spine, case (Devauchelle). First edition of this dramatic comedy written for the cinema and adapted much later for the theatre. The film, directed by Marcel Pagnol and shot in France during the Occupation, notably featured Raimu, Fernandel and Josette Day. One of the 50 first copies on hollande. Copy enriched with 10 large original pencil and watercolor drawings signed by Gaston Hoffmann (1883-1977)
