La Montansier. Play in four acts including a prologue. Paris, Librairie Charpentier et Fasquelle, 1904. In-12, powdered pink moiré silk bradel with small overlaps, white taffeta title-piece on the spine, untrimmed, cover (Paul Vié). First edition. Play written by Caillavet and Robert de Flers, with the collaboration of Jeoffrin, alias the Montmartre cartoonist Henry Ibels. First performed in March 1904 at the Théâtre de La Gaîté, with Réjane in the main role, it pays tribute to Mademoiselle Montansier, a famous actress of the 18th century. One of 15 numbered copies on japon, the only large paper. This copy belonged to Léontine Arman de Caillavet (engraved bookplate), the author's mother. It also bears the bookplate of André Maurois, as well as that of his wife Simone. Back faded.
