The Portfolio. Autograph manuscript signed, (s.l.n.d.). 21 pages in-4, mounted on tabs and bound in a volume in-4, red morocco, spine ribbed, title and author gilt, framed with gilt fillets (Marius Michel). The manuscript is written in black ink, without margins, pages numbered at the top left. Annotations in blue pencil, on a certain number of pages. Complete manuscript, having served for the printing at Fasquelle in 1902. Variations with the edition of Farces et moralités are noted. This farce is the adaptation of a tale, inspired by a news item (Le Journal 23/06/1901) and integrated in chapter XIX of 21 jours d'un neurasthénique. It was created at the Renaissance-Gémier theatre on February 19, 1902. The scene takes place in a police station, at night, a beggar brings a found object for his greatest misfortune, because this one will end up in the warehouse... Honesty does not pay...
