A pair of earthenware inkwells with a cubic body and two full lateral handles and a polylobed neck. Decorated with a hen, a rooster, butterflies, insects and flowers in polychrome enamels. Signed on each piece and one of the two with the stamp of the manufacture of Saint-Clément. One marked "When this hen laid will have, she will cocorate" and the second "When this crowed rooster will have my friendship for you will end".
