Composite armor comprising: - Kabuto za boshi hoshi bachi, made of iron with thirty-six slats with protruding rivets, their base decorated with stylized kiku, shinodare on the front slat, hachimanza in the form of kiku, agemaki in orange silk, mabisashi decorated with two cranes in flight in uchidashi, manju jikoro in black lacquered iron with four slats laced with blue, ochre and orange, fukigaeshi decorated with a mokko in shibuichi. Signed Myochin Munenaga saku. - tsubakuro-bo in iron decorated in light relief with môn taka no ha, the interior lacquered in red, yodarekake with four slats laced with blue - go mai do in iron with incised and inlaid decoration of gilt copper and shibuichi of a Chinese scene, immortal accompanied by a waiter seated among pomegranate trees and surmounted by clouds, kusazuri in black lacquered iron with five blue laced strips - ko sode in black lacquered iron with six blue laced strips, ochre and orange - shino gote in black lacquered iron on blue and silver silk brocade with paulownia flowers in their foliage - haidate in black lacquered iron on blue and silver silk brocade with paulownia flowers in their foliage - shino suneate in black lacquered iron on blue and silver silk brocade with paulownia flowers in their foliage Although the armourer is not very well known, the helmet is nonetheless of good quality and rank, which is manifested by the presence of the shinodare (ornamental arrow on the front) Provenance: Painter Henri MARTIN's workshop
