ROBIDA (Albert).
A very old boy's wallet. Paris, Librairie illustrée, Marpon et Flammarion, s.d. [1885]. In-12, almond green percalin, cold fat fillet, first plate with the title in gold and decorated with a gilt circular polychrome glued medallion, smooth spine with the title in capitals lengthwise, red edges (Binding by the publisher). Rare first edition, presenting secret memoirs of the 19th century. It is decorated, in the first edition, with a frontispiece and 94 drawings in bistre, red, sepia, black and four-colour process. A copy in the publisher's attractive cardboard, complete with calligraphic and printed documents, slipped into gussets in the lining: three letters, a restaurant note and a will. The cardboard is reproduced full-page by Brun p. 37. The elastic fasteners that were normally attached at the corners of the second plate are missing.
