34 Original models for theatre costumes. S.d. late 19th century]. Small folio album, soft blue half cloth binding, handwritten labels on the first cover (contemporary binding). Album of 34 original drawings in black and watercolour on tracing paper by Eugène Lacoste (1818-1907), painter and costume designer for the Opera theatre: 16 costume drawings for Severo Torelli, a play by François Coppée performed at the Odéon theatre in 1883, and 18 for Le Songe d'une nuit d'été, performed in 1886, still at the Odéon theatre. Transversal tear without missing a drawing. Autograph notes by Paul Porel (Réjane's husband), 12 pages, have been attached concerning the costumes made for these two plays. From the Eugène Lacoste collection, with repeated wet stamps (1909, no. 147).
