Firmin Didot, 1829-1833. 2 volumes in-folio, marbled calf, triple gilt fillet, spine decorated with grotesque (Binding at the time). First edition. Superb lithographed illustration with 253 plates including a frontispiece, most of them on applied china (numbered from 1 to 207, the 46 others being bis and ter). Vicar, vol. VII, col. 764-765, indicates 254 plates. A beautifully bound copy in marbled calf, the spine grotesquely decorated. Light freckles First plate of vol. II detached, the second one almost detached because the hinge was split lengthwise. Hooked to the headdresses of volume II.
