Filippo Morghen is an 18th century engraver of portraits, architectural views, antiques, plans and maps. He studied art in Rome for a period of seven years before settling in Naples as an engraver and later established himself as a merchant and publisher of engravings. Filippo Morghen is a leading engraver for the recent archaeological finds detailed in the "Antiquities of Herculaneum", published in Naples in 1757, and the sole engraver and editor of the "Views of the Ruins in the vicinity of Naples", published in 1766.
