Boundaries in old col. Nice copy on strong paper. 482 x 645 mm.  This is the updated version of Delisle's influential map of the French possession of Louisiana. It's one of the most important and influential early eighteenth-century foundation maps of the Mississippi Valley.  First issued in 1718, updated editions appeared in 1727, 1730, 1745, and 1782. This is an example of the last or 1782 edition. This edition has better delineation of the English colonies. The western boundaries of North & South Carolina and Georgia is the Chattahoochee River.
