FRANÇOIS Ier Roi de France (1494-1547).
Signed letter (secretary) to the general councillors, Plessis Les Tours, December 1, 1517, 1 page 45 x 30 cm on vellum, handwriting erased in a few places, countersigned by Robertet. Letter by which in consideration of the great, virtuous, laborious and commendable services rendered to the King and Madame Louise de Savoye, Duchess of Angoulême his mother, by Jean de Larochebeaucourt, councillor and ordinary chamberlain of the King, in several capacities, embassies and commissions he had from the King, notably with the Catholic King, in which he conducted himself very well and prudently, and wishing to reward him for said services and make it easier for him to marry one of his daughters, Francis I donated the sum of 8,000 livres tournois, payable over the next two years.
