F., Paris The sculpture presented here is characterized by the liveliness of its colours and the exuberance of its hairstyle made of two long red mats. The Kachina holds in one hand a long stick, emblem of the Kachina Ma'alo, and in the other a dance rattle. The sash, the traditional belt of the Kachina dancers as well as the back of the boots have a very refined painted decoration.
