BEAUTIFUL REPRESENTATION OF A SITTING SHAMAN Colima Culture, Western Mexico Protoclassical, 100 BC-250 AD. H. 37 cm - L. 23 cm Brick red slip ceramic with glazed surface and calcareous deposit visible Man seated, right leg raised with forearm raised. holding a hollow instrument in his hand, with his left leg fixed on the ground where the hand comes to rest. He wears on his left side, a kind of bag placed on the shoulder and held by a collar fixed on the shoulders. Very expressive head showing a face with closed eyes framing a long aquiline nose with the presence of a small closed mouth. On the sides, ears pierced to the day, the forehead is covered with two pastille bands holding a truncated-cone shamanic horn. On the top of the skull, small oval opening.
