Collation: 4 ff. 30 double-page maps numbered 1-30, 8 ff. of text paginated 31-46, 4 pp. of catalogue of maps available at Lattré. Illustration: 1 title and 1 dedication to the King in period colours all drawn by Monnet and engraved by Legrand, 13 maps of the coasts and 17 plans of the ports printed on double page, all enhanced at the time with a nice colour. Binding of the period. Blue morocco, gilt decoration, triple fillet with a small flower at the corners, smooth spine decorated, gilt edges. Some early ff. with a pale brown spot. Part of the bit of the open bottom cover Rigobert Bonne succeeded Jacques-Nicolas Bellin as hydrographer at the Dépôt de la Marine in 1771. His charts are still recognized for their accuracy
