Large in-8, blue calf, frame of eight gilt fillets and central frame formed of a double fillet with small iron at the corners, smooth back ornamented lengthwise, double inner fillet with iron at the corners, lining and endpapers of embossed silk with vegetal and silver decoration, modern case (Lacoste). FIRST PRINT. 101 vignettes in the text, plus one on the title, engraved on steel by Baron, Gavarni, Français, etc., edited by Janet. Copy with all the features of the first print, including the famous skeleton on the title page. A separate print on white wove paper of the portraits of Pauline and Foedora has been added. VERY ELEGANT AND FRESH DOUBLE-BOUND IN SILVER-GRAINED SILK.
