BURNER-PARFUM ANTHROPOMORPHY CULTURE VERACRUZ-LA MIXTEQUILLA, GULF COAST, MEXICO Classical period 450-650 A.D. Brown ceramic with remains of white and red brick paint H. 22 cm - D. 16 cm Globular shape decorated with quills mounted on openwork pedestal. The sides of the vessel are decorated with a man's head wearing a helmet held in place by a chinstrap; the helmet is decorated with star motifs imitating bird feathers.
