Resting bed made of burr elm veneer and rosewood fillets. Two upside down bedside tables of equal height finished with a rosewood inlaid scroll. Charles X period. H. 96 cm - W. 188 cm - L. 90 cm (With its bedding). Architect furniture : Famous architect of the beginning of the 20th century, René Sargent works for a bourgeois and wealthy clientele. He notably realized the private mansion of Count Moïse de Camondo on the outskirts of the Parc Monceau. A lover of Charles X furniture, he placed this ensemble in his castle at Gué-à-Tresmes, in Seine-et-Marne, where he was born. By descent, this furniture (lots 141 to 144) will then find its place in the Parisian residence of the architect Albert Laprade, where it comes directly from.
