The author (1614-1680), a great German physician who professed in Wittenberg, was the first to make known the true texture of the inner mucous membrane of the nose, called pituitary membrane or Schneider's membrane. Large bookplate by Moublet-gras, doctor of medicine in Tarascon at the end of the 18th century. Burnished paper. Rubbed hinges, missing from the upper cap.
