MANUSCRIBE. - [BORDERING] Inventory of the late Mr. Raymond Lassus, Secretary to the King and banker of Bordeaux. Bordeaux, 1776. In-folio manuscript (470 x 330 mm) of 296 pages, brown half calf with small vellum corners, spine decorated, red title piece (Modern binding in the 18th century style). Exceptional handwritten inventory of the activities and accounts of a former 18th-century Bordeaux merchant and banker, owner of ships for trade and the slave trade with America. Complete inventory of the accounts and property left by the Bordeaux merchant Raymond Lassus at his death in 1768, drawn up by two of the city's merchants (Pierre Malakar and Jacob de Griselle), following the challenge by Pierre Lassus, a parliamentary prosecutor, brother and heir of the deceased, of the accounts presented by the executor (Joseph Guillem) in 1771.
