- ACTA ERUDITORUM. Leipzig, Grossi & Gleditschium, 1686-1687. 2 books in one volume in-4, hard vellum, title and tomaison parts on spine, red edges (contemporary binding). Original editions. The Acta eruditorum, published in Leipzig as early as 1682 by Otto Mencke, was the first printed scientific periodical in Germany. Leibniz collaborated regularly with it, publishing several mathematical articles. The year 1686 includes the De geometria recondita (pp. 292-300), a thesis of great importance on integral calculus and where the symbol of integration is published for the first time?
