Set of 2 books in one volume in folio, fawn calf, double framed with three cold fillets, small gilt fleuron at the corners, in the center gilt medallion with interlacing decoration on azure ground, spine gilt (contemporary binding). Excellent commentary by Denis Lambin (1520-1572), professor of Greek at the Collège de France and emeritus Latinist. Printed by Jean Macé on two columns in Roman and Greek characters; large typographical mark of the publisher on the titles (cf. Renouard, n°691). Pleasant Parisian binding of the time. Title of the first book doubled, the text on the back left visible, and 2 brown leaves. Hinges, caps and corners restored, scratch on the first cover.
