Second edition of the French translation by Gabriel Chappuys of this encyclopaedic work initially published in Italian in 1564 in Venice and dealing with various subjects: military art, agriculture, medicine, mechanical arts, navigation, gastronomy, hunting and fishing, architecture, etc.
Old manuscript ex-libris on the title: aux Augustins de Rennes.
Small repair on the edge of the first 3 leaves including the title. Light moulding on a few leaves.
