Second edition of the Latin translation of Count François de Foix-Candale (1502-1594), bishop of Aire, mathematician and alchemist. Printed by Jean de Tournes, it is illustrated with many geometrical figures in the text. Wet stamp of the major seminary of Saint-Flour on the title. Worm gallery at the foot of the last 13 leaves, small clear moulding at the foot of the volume, transverse tear without lack repaired at the time of binding in the bottom of the title. Skillful restorations to the caps and jaws.
