Large wood portrait of Julius Caesar, a map (carthe gallicane) and some woods in the text including a view of Alesia with its fortifications. Pen monogram on the title, undetermined. Handwritten bookplate in violet ink dated 1918 in the upper corner of the title. A few leaflets. An open jaw with small missing headcap, worn corners. Traces of white wax at the binding.
