(the last blank), III and 304 pp., 2 ff.n.ch.: midnight blue Bradel silk cardboard, spine and covers decorated with silver thread embroidery, smooth spine, green title coin, lining and double endpapers decorated with stencilled plant decoration, silver edges on witnesses, cover and spine (contemporary binding). First edition in-12. One of the 25 numbered copies on japanese preserved in a beautiful japanese binding entirely decorated with a silver thread embroidered decoration. From the Jules Le Roy library, with ex-libris. The decoration on the spine, slightly rubbed, has lost its luster (Carteret, II, p. 77: do not mention the dedication leaf to the Countess de Richelieu - Vicar, V, col. 406).
