In-18, 2 ff.n.ch., 32 and 246 pp., 4 pp. (prospectus): rooted basane, cold fillet, smooth spine decorated, red title piece, marbled edges (contemporary binding). Charming edition, very well printed, illustrated with 115 relief engravings executed by Jean-Louis Duplat using a process of his own invention, i.e. 110 vignettes, one at the head of each fable, and 5 figures out of text (3 for Ruth and 2 for Tobie). A blunt corner, minimal restoration to the upper cap.
