OPHTALMOLOGY. - HAZARD-MIRAULT. A practical treatise on the artificial eye. Paris, Chez l'Auteur, Duponcet, 1818. In-8, stapled, uncut, untrimmed, period cover. Original edition of this interesting treatise on ocular prostheses, decorated with 7 curious copper-engraved plates. A copy bearing a signed shipment from the author to a certain Knight Pinel, perhaps the famous alienist? Slight freckles. First plate of the loose cover and lack of paper on the back. GIRALDÈS (Joachim-Albin). Anatomical studies, or Research on the organization of the eye, considered in humans and some animals. Paris, Baillière, Imprimerie de Didot le jeune, 1836. In-4, bradel cardboard bradel with black glue paper, red edges (Period binding). Original edition, decorated with 7 plates engraved after drawings of the author. The title shall bear the stamp of Dr Monoyer, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine.
