Paris, Aubert, 1839-1840. 3 volumes in-4, brown half-brown, smooth spine decorated, marbled edges (contemporary binding). 150 lithographed plates after Daumier, Grandville, Gavarni, Traviès, etc., with the exception of 2 Grandville plates which are woodcut and one Gavarni plate engraved in aquatint. First draw. Each volume consists of 50 non-paginated issues, with 3 pages of text and a lithograph. This documentary work is one of the rarest of the Romantic period (Carteret).
