An artist's house. Paris, G. Charpentier, 1881. 2 volumes in-12, bradel demi-percaline fawn, smooth spine, brown title piece, speckled edges (contemporary binding). Original edition. Sent signed by the author to Alidor Delzant. Alidor Delzant (1848-1905), lawyer, bibliophile and collector, was the executor of Edmond de Goncourt's will. The latter affixed in his copy his ex-libris engraved with etching by Loviot and mounted at the end of volume II a press article he wrote for the sale of the 18th century books of the Goncourt collection.
