The Historia di Milano [...]. Con le Vite insieme di tutti gli Imperatori, incominciando da Giulio Cesare, fino a Federico Barbarosa. Padua, Paolo Frambotto, 1646. 2 parts in one large volume in-4, granite calf, double gilt fillet, spine decorated, edges speckled with red (contemporary binding). Good edition of this work on the history of the Milanese, first published in 1503. It is a compilation of ancient Milanese chronicles made by the Italian historian Bernardino Corio (1459-1519) at the request of Ludovic Le More. The copy is on a custody this handwritten ex-libris: p. Bonnet M. R. ord. 1683; perhaps it is that of Pierre Bonnet, doctor to the Duchess of Burgundy, born in 1638 and died in 1708. Engraved ex-libris: H.B. de Fourcy. Wet a few leaves. Binding rubbed, top hinge cracked, head cap missing and tail cap destroyed
