Armchair in mahogany and mahogany veneer. Resting on sabre back legs, the front ones in baluster, "Jacob" arranged in the extension of the column armrest supports. The armrests are flat, finished in curl, with a lotiform attachment centred on a palmette. The straight backrest with headband is finished in curl. Model attributed to JACOB D. RUE MESLEE (1803-1813). Mark in hollow L.P.N under a closed crown coming from the furniture of the castle of Neuilly under King Louis Philippe. Hollow number 8496 . Circa 1805. H. 91 cm, W. 58 cm (Missing the lower part of the backrest with a pattern of five crosses centered with antique nails). Similar models: - Similar furniture from the bedroom of the Viceroy at the Malmaison. - A pair of armchairs from the bedroom of Prince Louis at the Castle of Saint Leu, kept in the Napoleon Museum at the Castle of Arenenberg.
