Ballads, Rounds, & Songs. Paris, Auguste Blaizot, René Kieffer, 1910. Large in-8, brown morocco on bevelled aisles, on the large frame dishes evoking a chain and links drawn by cold fillets, the large rings at the corners left in reserve and hollowed out in the aisle to each receive a horn medallion carved on an openwork background with highly stylised rosette and foliage motifs, spine ribbed with gilt title, double inner fillet, recessed purple calfskin lining decorated with a large incised interlacing decoration in the 16th century genre, painted silk endpapers, gilt headpiece, untrimmed, vellum cover, case (René Kieffer). Eaux-fortes in colours and woods drawn and engraved by Georges Bruyer. Edition of 250 copies. One of the 20 top copies, this one on vellum, containing 3 etchings states including pure etching, a separate print of wood on japan peel and an original unpublished watercolour. Curious art binding by René Kieffer, decorated with carved horn medallions. 2 corner pieces are missing, another one unstuck (preserved).
