Notre Dame de Paris. Paris, Émile Testard et Cie, 1889. 2 volumes in-4, brown morocco, quadruple gilt fillet, ornate spine, inner frame decorated with gilt fillets interrupted here and there with fleurons, light brown lining and moire guards, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine, case (Canape 1917). 71 compositions by Luc-Olivier Merson engraved with etching by Géry-Bichard, 61 of which are in the text and 10 full-page, the latter under serpentine captions. One of the 250 copies on japanese, this one including the separate edition of all the engravings before the letter and with remarks, as well as 2 plates in double state, on laid paper, giving a different version for Quasimodo (t. I) and Le Petit soulier (t. II). Very nice copy.
