GONCOURT (Edmond de).
The Zemganno Brothers. Paris, F. Grégoire, 1921. Grand in-8, midnight blue morocco, Jansenist, fawn morocco lining decorated with a mosaic and gold decoration evoking a circus ring with trapezes in the corners, burgundy moire guards, gold edges, untrimmed, cover and back, case (Ch. Septier). Very nice illustration drawn and etched by Auguste Brouet, including a vignette on the cover, a portrait on the title, a vignette, 50 culs-de-lampe and 15 plates. Edition at 210 copies, this one one of the 50 copies on imperial japan. Collaborator's copy (edition of 10 copies), nominative for Gustave Geffroy, president of the Académie des Goncourt, including the plates in triple state and a suite on japanese of the other engravings. Interesting binding with a decoration on the lining that evokes the acrobatics of the Zemganno brothers.
