GEBHART (Émile).
The Last Night of Judas. Paris, Ferroud, 1908. In-8, red morocco, ornamental frame formed of two intertwined burgundy scrolls decorated here and there with small gilt irons, back decorated in the same taste, inner frame decorated with a double gilt fillet and a burgundy scroll interrupted at the corners by a fleuron, lining and endpapers of crimson red moire, gilt edges, untrimmed, cover and back, case (Ch. Septier). Charming work printed in Gothic characters, the text placed in frames and ornaments in the manner of medieval manuscripts, adorned with a frontispiece, a vignette on the cover (repeated on the title) and 11 compositions in the text, engraved on copper in colour by Gaston Bussière. Edition at 350 copies, this one of the first 45 copies on large japanese including the engravings in 3 states, including the pure etching with remarks. Prospectus (4 pages) added.
