In-4, almond green morocco, large copper embedded in each dish, purple inner morocco listel between two gold fillets, gold edges, cover and back, case (Ch. Septier). 16 watercolours, including 15 off-text, by Joseph Hémard, engraved on copper by Delzer and printed in colour. Edition at 440 copies, this one of the 15 leading copies on imperial japanese with 3 states of engravings and the decomposition of a plate. Enriched copy of the original watercolour of an off-text and 2 brass instruments related to this illustration, embedded in each of the plates of the binding. Sent from Joseph Hémard to Robert Beauvillain, accompanied by an original drawing in colour.
