Large in-8, blue morocco, large gothic-inspired ironwork mosaic motif on the dishes, inner border, brown moire lining and endpapers, gold edges, untrimmed, cover, case (Noulhac). Edition adorned with 10 colour compositions engraved on copper by Edmond Malassis, the text printed in 2 different frames engraved on wood in colour. Edition of 170 copies numbered and initialled by the publisher, one of the 20 on japanese containing the 2 frame motifs printed on china and a proof of a colour plate with the artist's corrections; 3 proofs of the colour decomposition of this plate have been added to the copy.
