The Adventures of Telemachus, son of Ulysses. Paris, De l'Imprimerie de Monsieur, 1790. 2 volumes in-8, rooted calf flat with brown calf border, gilt castors, smooth spine of ornate red morocco, green title and tomaison pieces, inner wheel, gilt edges (contemporary binding). Frontispiece and 6 figures of Cochin. Copy enriched with the suite of 25 figures by Moreau the Younger and 24 figures by Marillier, all before the letter, as well as a portrait engraved by Hubert after Vivien. Very elegant rooted calf binding with red morocco spine, strictly period. Auréoles and freckles on a few pages, poorly bound notebook I after notebook O in volume II. Rubbing at the binding, a restored headdress.
