Charming book engraved with ornaments, one of the prettiest and rarest (Destailleur) of Charles Mavelot, engraver who worked in Paris from 1680 to 1696. It consists of 6 engraved plates (title, 3 sheets for the dedication to the Duke of Saint-Aignan and 2 others for his coat of arms and his number), 31 printed pages for the explanatory text, 43 sheets of supports and one engraved sheet for the extract of the privilege. This copy contains a rare advertising engraving by the ornamental artist, decorated with the coat of arms of the Dauphine and the Great Mademoiselle, and labelled Mavelot Graveur ordinaire de S.A.R. Mademoiselle, residing in the Court new of the Palais [...] Grave Medals, throw away, seals, stamps, and all other kinds of works. He also sells a Book where he finds all kinds of Chifres, by his invention. Some restorations to the binding.
