De animarum rationalium rationalium immortalitate libri quartet Aristotelis opinionem. Padua, Gaspard Crivellarium, 1629. In-folio, rigid vellum, ink title on the back (Binding of the time). Original edition, printed on two columns and decorated with a beautiful portrait of the author engraved intaglio by Johann Tröschel. Fortunio Liceti (1577-1657), a Paduan philosopher and doctor, taught in Pisa, Padua and Bologna, and held the first chair of philosophy in Padua. He is the author of several books, including a curious treatise on genetic malformations, De monstris (1616). Large wetness in the lower part of the volume. Sewing of the nerves visible on the back.
