Essay on the theory of torrens and rivers. Paris, Bidault, Year VI - 1797. In-4, half vellum with small corners, smooth back, blue title piece, not trimmed (modern binding). Original edition, decorated with 8 folding plates engraved on copper. An interesting hydrography treatise in which Jean-Antoine Fabre (1748-1834), a Provençal engineer and correspondent of the Académie des Sciences, plans to make the Seine navigable as far as Paris and to make the capital a seaport. Small marginal repair with two boards.
